- Puppy preschool is a fundamental first step in nurturing a well-behaved and sociable pet, and it’s an excellent idea for every new puppy owner. At Marburg Veterinary Clinic, we offer comprehensive 4-week courses throughout the year, featuring 1-hour lessons each week, tailored for puppies aged 8 to 16 weeks—this critical phase falls within the puppy imprinting period. It’s important to note that puppies need to have received at least one vaccination to attend our puppy preschool.
- Our puppy preschool program at Marburg Veterinary Clinic offers a clean, indoor, safe, and closely supervised environment where your puppy can interact with other puppies, fostering essential socialization skills. The course covers a range of lessons, including basic commands and obedience training, controlled play, education on health care and basic first aid, and most importantly, vital socialization experiences with other dogs and people. This valuable time can also help familiarize your puppy with our veterinary clinic, ensuring that future visits for their annual check-ups are positive and stress-free. The basic obedience skills acquired during these classes can serve as a strong foundation for more advanced obedience training, helping your puppy become a well-mannered and happy member of your family.
