A professional dental clean, often referred to as a “scale and polish,” is a specialised procedure aimed at not only removing visible plaque and tartar from your pet’s teeth but also addressing the bacteria that reside beneath the gum line, which cannot be effectively managed through at-home dental care routines. Dental cleaning plays a crucial role in preventing future tooth decay and gum disease, and we highly recommend scheduling routine scale and polish procedures to ensure your pet’s oral hygiene remains at an optimal level.
Puppy preschool is a fundamental first step in nurturing a well-behaved and sociable pet, and it’s an excellent idea for every new puppy owner. At Marburg Veterinary Clinic, we offer comprehensive 4-week courses throughout the year, featuring 1-hour lessons each week, tailored for puppies aged 8 to 16 weeks—this critical phase falls within the puppy imprinting period. It’s important to note that puppies need to have received at least one vaccination to attend our puppy preschool.
We would like to welcome our newest vet, Dr Madelein Taylor, to the team. She will be with us Mondays to Thursdays. Pop in sometime to say hello!
I am Canadian but I went to vet school in New Zealand. While living across the ditch I worked in mixed animal practice, but I fell in love with small animal surgery and dentistry. I decided after I had kids that I would stay doing small animal. My husband, Chris and I, along with our 2 young boys, Elliott (5) and Lucien (3), moved over here two years ago. We ended up moving to an acreage in Lowood where we are kept busy with our dalmatian, Pongo, two cats, Gandalf and Luna, our flock of chooks and large veggie garden. We are also keen diyers and are always thinking about the next project coming up. I really enjoy soft tissue surgery and dentistry and I love working with spicy kitties and staffies.
I LOVE anything and EVERYTHING to do with being a Vet. I’m an avid Frenchie breeder, and enjoy dog Breeding, soft tissue surgery, and have a passion for Emergency & critical care consultations. Not only am I busy with owning the business but 3 kids 13, 11, 7 keep me on my toes. In the small amount of time left to myself I enjoy riding my horse and relaxing by the pool. I am scared of horror movies!! I am not very adventurous when it comes to trying new foods.
I am currently working as a casual Nurse whilst studying Veterinary science at UQ- Gatton. Ever since I could walk and talk, I have loved animals. My parents sat me on the back of a horse at the age of 2 and I have never looked back. To most people their pets are family, and taking care of that family member is a huge privlege. I am passionate about veterinary medicine, in particular, and solving those tricky cases. My partner (Nathan) and I have a border collie named Ellie.
I am actually a registed Veterinarian but have chosen to work as a Vet Nurse for the time being. I have two kids. Slater who is 3 and Kalia 18 months, and my husband Ben. We have 2 dogs Lochie (Kelpie) and Millie (Border Collie)- I love the interactions with the animals and enjoy finding solutions to give the owners peace of mind that their animals will be ok. I have a fear of Trypophobia (you might need to Google it).
I love to travel and have plans to visit, Bali, Cambodia and Thailand very soon. I am very adventurous when it comes to eating foods, love trying any new foods. I have grown up with horses from a very young age on both sides of the family. My first love is my Great Dane. I have a massive fear of birds.
